When President Olusegun Obasanjo was in power we spent 300 billion per year on the fuel subsidy. Under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan it shot up to 1.3 trillion naira in the last one year alone. Can someone please explain to me how it got so high in 4 years and what exactly they were subsidising with the extra one trillion naira? When the Obasanjo government left power in 2007 the country was no longer in debt and the 30 billion dollar foreign debt that Obasanjo met when he came to power in 1999 was fully paid off. Today, under the administration of Jonathan, our country is back in debt to the tune of 30 billion dollars and we are still borrowing. Can someone please tell me what the loans were used for and whether we will ever be able to pay them off? When the Obasanjo administration left power in 2007 our foreign reserves were 80 billion dollars even though when he came into office in 1999 we only had 1.5 billion dollars.

Today our foreign reserves have dropped from 80 billion dollars in 2007 to 33 billion dollars. Can someone please tell me where all the money went? When the Obasanjo administration left power in 2007 23 billion dollars was left in the Excess Crude Account after he built it up from nothing in 1999. Today we do not have one dollar left in that account because the money has been squandered and the account scrapped. Can someone explain to me who spent that money and precisely what it was spent on? By the time the Obasanjo administration left power in 2007 not one bomb had gone off in Abuja throughout his 8 years in office and neither did we shy away from confronting the evil and dealing a hard blow to the terrorists wherever and whenever it was necessary to do so. Today bombs go off at will all over the north, the President hides in the Villa and churches were targetted on christmas day in Abuja. When Obasanjo was in power we did not remove the fuel subsidy because it would have caused too much pain to the Nigerian people and because there was no safety net in place to reduce that pain. President Jonathan however did not have any such inhibitions or qualms. Just seven days after we suffered the horrendous trauma of the xmas day bombings and probably as a New Year’s Greek gift to the Nigerian people, our President finally removed the oil subsidy. He did this knowing fully well that it will lead to untold suffering and terrible hardship for the next few years for the Nigerian people, most of whom still live below the poverty line. Can someone please tell me why President Jonathan wants Nigerians to cry? Yesterday he not only said that he would “crush Boko Haram” but he also declared a state of emergency in a few local government areas in some northern states. Can someone please tell me why our President could not do this 6 months ago when some of us first advocated it and thereby save many lives? Why has it taken him so long to find the guts to confront Boko Haram and to lead the fight against them with ruthless zeal, strengh, courage and total faith in God? Why has he done so little when it comes to this matter and why has he done it so late? Does he not know that a king is meant to lead his people into battle and if necessary die for them? He has been unable to handle and contain Boko Haram and now he has removed the fuel subsidy which is something that is expressly against the wishes and interest of the overwhelming majority of the Nigerian people.

Can someone please tell me precisely what has happened to this man and what has got into his head? This government is not only weak, it not only lacks direction but it is also insensitive and callous. The removal of the fuel subsidy is the final straw: President Jonathan, the King Rehoabam of our time, has hardened his heart unto destruction, just like Pharaoh once did, and he has fallen into the trap that has been set for him by God and by his enemies. May the Lord save Nigeria from this mess and from this weak man and may the Nigerian people themselves wake up from their accursed slumber and take their destiny into their own hands. The smell of religious war, sectarian violence, regional and ethnic conflict, insecurity, untold suffering, rampant poverty and economic hardship is in the air. Nigerians are divided as never before and our country is slowly crumbling and dying before our very eyes. Who will save Nigeria? Who will stand up and say enough is enough? Who will pull us back from the brink? Who can we count on to take the bull by the horns and do the right thing? There must be a lawful and democratic change. My God let there be a change.

we shouldnt forget dat jonathan didnt wish to b president,he wanted to b a class captain he became d senior boy,he wanted to b a Local Government chairman,he was made the Deputy Governor,he didnt pray to b governor, it came to past,by d power of Obasanjo he became d vice-president and president,so,Jonathan is a punishment frm God, Nigerans should keep on praying for GOD to hear our prayer.

I am neither moved nor impressed by this write up which I believe is majorly eulogising the heinous government of Obasanjo and vilifying that of Jonathan. Jonathan was a product of the evil machination and satanic agenda of Obasanjo. A government that could not produce a veritable successor to it is as guilty of the misgovernment of its successor. QWe all know that the government of Yar’Adua (a sick and dying man), of which Jonathan was a by-product was foisted on us by OBJ. After the death of Yar’Adua, the same OBJ led the campaign for installation of Jonathan. What quality(ies) did he see in him? PDP and all that are affiliated to it have failed this country, including the writer of this article. If FFK is doing image laundering here, he should realise he will need to cover more tightly his own can of worms.

  • jimo Owoseeni

Egbon Femooooo! O ga. Two times, our big daddy Olusegun obasanjo had the rare opportunity to radically transform Nigeria, at both times he allowed it slip and handed over to incompetent persons. If the heaven will fall, it will fall on all of us. Enu e lawa bayi O.

  • Nigeria a joke

Well, can someone explain to us, how come a rogue like you that looted every dim in your ministry is outside enjoying..?
Who will save Nigeria.. did you believe in it or are you just fooling your lineage, and feeding them the same lies as your ‘Awo’??
Go take a look on the mirror and ask God that you pray for change to first forgive you, after you must have  surrendered all that you and you ape master from Ota looted..
    Obasanjo is perfect huh?
None of you vultures will see the impending sunami coming, and it will sure consume all of you…

  • Demajassociates

Femi Fanikayode is still doing the bidding of his master, even when they are no longer in power.  Enough of his so-called ‘epistles’ about what the OBJ administration did when they were in power, blah, blah, blah.  Of course, this is what OBJ wanted when he delibrately chose a man that had no good/healthy heart to lead us, in person of Late Shehu Musa-Yaradua and chose a moron called GEJ as his deputy.  All he cares about is for people like Femi and other Nigerians that can easily be fooled like him to continually sing his praises as the best President Nigeria ever had, especially in comparison to all his chosen incompetent successors.  He knew Nigeria has more than enough competent and tested leaders to lead the country out of the woods but his preference of substandard people like Shagari, Yaradua and ‘Badluck’ Jonathan is his usual way of making people to continue singing his praises.  He purposely chose people that he feels will not be able to achieve success in steering the ship of our great nation, and handed over power to them, so that Nigerians will say he was the best.  We are not fooled, OBJ.  My only prayers is that GOD will avenge on behalf of his people in Jesus mighty name.  Amen!!

  • Prince

from level 15 and above in MDAs are thieves, from councillors to presidency are criminals, then the cabals, or what do they call them? are armed robbers (without physical arm, anyway, but their pen as weapons of mass embezzlement)

  • Waliuabatan

Is it only from the hands of GEJ God should deliver us from. What about all his cabinet and the entire people in government that never had interest of the nation at heart, all what they are all after is their pocket and to loot as much as they can while they are still in government. If you travel with a 5year old child to the UK or US, you will be surprised that they will be telling you that they don’t want to come back to Nigeria again that you should allow them be living there. Is it about our education system we want to talk about,or the electricity aspect of it or the good roads construction.Even the air we breath in are all polluted,no fresh air again in the metropolis, all polluted with carbon-monoxide which is one of the reasons why our younger generation thinking capacity has deteriorated to stage that you can not preach any good thing to them and they try to reason along with you.All morals, norms and values are all lost to corruptions being practice by our leaders. The future of tomorrow are being allowed to follow footsteps of rogues, thieves because we Nigerians are not sleeping,we see and we hear all the scandals being carried out by these politicians and not intellectuals they are expected to be.

Am 34 years of age now, am sure i started saying BABA between 9- 12 months.Approximately at the age of 1-2 yrs, i would have been saying after my parents what i hear them say which one of if is ‘ UP NEPA WHENEVER THEY BRING LIGHT’. Is so sad and demoralizing that my kid of 2 yrs  is still saying the same UP NEPA. Now tell me, where is the future in Nigeria,if at my age i have not been able to  experience for a day full electricity supply.

A new born baby will brought home into darkness after delivery from the hospital and will start her life with the sound of the generator right from the womb because even the hospital he/she is delivered is running on generator, not only that, the mixed air of carbon-monoxide will be inhaled by the poor child and so life goes on like that for them. The question is WHERE DOES OUR FUTURE LIES AND IN WHOSE HANDS? WHAT IS THE HOPE OF MY GENERATION,OUR CHILDREN GENERATION AND EVEN THE UNBORN.

If i have the opportunity to relocate myself and my family abroad, i wont think twice.Am an average income earner and if i can have this mentality of relocating abroad one day,how much do we now expect from someone that is not even sure of tonight not to talk of hoping to live up to see tomorrow.THE POOR ARE  GETTING POORER WHILE THE RICH ARE UTILIZING ALL OPEN AVENUES FOR THEM TO EMBEZZLE MONEY AND THEY ARE GETTING RICHER FOR THEIR FUTURE GENERATION.IS THIS LIFE?

Where some people are collecting up to N300m per month as whatever allowance,to pay some people minimum of N18k,some state government are still saying they cannot afford it.why cant they share part of their own monthly income if truly they are for the people but since we citizens too have sold our birth right all because of money they share during election so as to vote for them,we don’t realize its not going to be for a long time, its just for that election period and after then, we continue with our struggles because most of the people ruling us were not actually voted for but were imposed since they have shut our mouth with N500,N1000,cups of rice and toiletries shared during election period.

I live in Ikorodu,my office is on the island while my husband office is at Ikeja. We set out together in the morning as early as 5a.m all to beat the hold up and which also help in consuming less fuel but this is not applicable in the evening time because no matter how much you try, its so certain that you spend 3hrs max in hold up.Now we buy full tank of N4k twice a week making N8K per week @N65:disqus ,now that fuel is being sold for N141,our calculations on fuel for one month is going to like N54k per month and which is 1/3rd of both of us salary,so how do we survive with feeding ourselves, our children and even giving out to our old ones, how do we manage it.

    All government appointees should always remember and work with the Nigeria Pledge everyday of their life which reads;

‘ I PLEDGE TO NIGERIA MY COUNTRY
TO BE FAITHFULLY LOYAL AND HONEST
TO SERVE NIGERIA WITH ALL MY STRENGTH
TO DEFEND HER UNITY AND UPHOLD HER HONOR AND GLORY
    SO HELP ME GOD’

  • Jyde

This is a rogue statement. Rogue commentin on rogue actions. U ve 4gottened that U guys (Obasanjo & cohort, Jonathan & co)  jointly destroying this country. All of U would be destroyed in earnest. Just watch it, all the curse so far is on U too Fani. U ve 4gottened ur impact in lootin our treasury. If pple are to be touched, U can neva escape it. Mother fucker  young rogue

  • crespo

Femi your so called baba obasanjo should be blame for all these mess obasanjo spent eight good years and our refiniries are still in bad condition instead he choose to be paying 300billion on fuel subsidy, how  about the 18billion dollars spent on NEPA where are we today as far as am concern all politicans are the same no saint among them we should be grateful for Jonathan to come out opening that we cant continue to pay fuel subsidy anymore my challenge with him is that the timming was very wrong and why is obasanjo not saying anything why cant obasanjo crush the cabals then instead he choose to be paying them 300billion naria every year.

  • Taata2

This Kayode boy you  be fool oooo,, you want to join the masses and claim that you are one of us or that you feel the pains we feel. Where was your blocked senses before now and when you were Minister. Kindly find somewhere and hide yourself ……….Bushmoo

  • Isaiah_omolere2001

Obasanjo probably brought Yar’adua and Jonathan to make him look good. In my own opinion all of them are rogues. Buhari is a better candidate I think. We need someone that has no god father

  • mustapha

Well the fact is, its the hightest level of irresponsibility, neglect, obnoxious and non chalant attitude of the govt, its so unrealistic for the fuel subsidy be removed because thats the onnly way we can actually feel the impact of the govt is by making our lives eazy aside from the fuel subsidy removal, the FG has introduced toll fees on the road as such the prices of things will acalate… By bes t wish is that the Nigerian pple should stand up high with confidence and say No to subsidy removal because its a death sentense in diguise

  • Babs Show

I think the President is not Capable and moreover he is a very weak person… He needs to resign… No b by False to lead Nigerians… He is too weak and we all can feel it…

  • Passions

Hmmmm. all our politicians are birds of the same feather.  @Dolly   u really said the fact. in addition: Our President said
    1.   We know d people  behind boko harm. Nothing is done about it.
    2.   Some people are benfitting from oil subsidy.  No one is arrested nd nobody resign, or handed over to EFCC/ICPC.
All what he can think of / advice to do is that everybody should suffer for he failure.

  • O F

Hun Nigerians think o Oga Femi nobi Obasanjo impose Yardua and Jonathan on Nigerians? Was d election den free or fear? If indeed Obasanjo was a good leader i would have expected him to have a good succesor 1 who can take off from whr he left but i believe he wanted to laugh at us or get back at Nigerians for not supporting his 3rd term bid hence he decided to give us dumbs.
Nigerians have a strenght dat is prayer i believe the Lord we serve will harken to our voices, He will remember Nigerians and fight for us

  • Aziegbemi

Femi, you dont deserve an answer…..however,let me inform you that the amount of subsidy is a function of the price of crude oil in the international market….the higher the price of crude, the bigger the subsidy…why dont you clear your name with the EFCC before you start commenting on national issues…you dont have any moral grounds….

    • Vanq Vanquir

This is a factual representation, that is not hinged on the personality of the article’s author. You do not have the intellectual capacity to respond to Femi’s article. Read and keep quiet.

      • Obeben

I wonder if this article was written in Yoruba, your response show that you are too dull to understand beyond sensationalism, someone is saying the price of crude determines and you are saying you understand, you might be a fool, these same people crumbled OBJ’s government, these same people will fail to tell you that Yar’adua spent the national reserves when the militants stop oil exploitation, I wonder if you’ll understand what exploitation means, just get a life and look for something analogue to do, the internet is beyond you…

  • Itubabaita

Senior Advocate of the Masses, or is it Senior Advocate of the Marginalized? Whichever … FFK … GEJ Na una Fankeistein! Odili is truly a more kind and compassionate thief!

  • Joe

some of theses MONIES is in your pocket mr fanikayode,so TEACHER don’t ask this ?

  • dolly

I am surprised at most reactions here,. Most are personalized in such a way that the most important part of the article is not being discussed at all.

    1. When President Olusegun Obasanjo was in power we spent 300 billion per
year on the fuel subsidy. Under the administration of President Goodluck
Jonathan it shot up to 1.3 trillion naira in the last one year alone. FACT

    2. GEJ has seen this and he does not want it to continue. FACT

    3. He chooses removal of the subsidy as the only solution.. FACT

Why did the subsidy rise by a trillion naira in one year? Corruption.. FACT

Who are those responsible for this and why cant we deal with them? SACRED COWS ..FACT

What bothers me is the past failure of the government to deal with the cows is the reason our refineries are not working, our railways are non functional, Nepa is epileptic. The burden is always passed on the masses.

Do you wonder what next they will be passing to us because i have a funny feeling its not going to be the last  as long as the cows remain sacred!!!

Enjoy what is left of 2012

  • Jules

Abegi!!!!   Who orchestrated the emergence of GEJ via Yar’adua? Since we were in the era of ‘succession’ during your time, your principal should have ensured that people who could continue that development ended up in power, and there were credible brilliant people of South-South descent that fitted the bill…….it seems to me that those who say this  is vendetta for rejecting 3rd term could just be right.

  • Mozwaify

During OBJ, there were lots of fuel scarcities. But now, to make sure there is steady available product, Government is committed to funding the subsidy uninterrupted.

Kindly make your positive suggestions of a way forward to Mr. President and stop stirring the Youths into violent. One thing i am sure of, is that people like you did not even come out to vote talk more of contesting. and if you are voted or appointed, you will be the worst.

If the time you have used to make this research of failure and fault finding, was invested properly, you could be the Peter Drunker of our time. Your could be the Mary Parker of our time, You could be the Henry Fayor or Fredrick Taylor of our time.

Make positive contributions to Nigeria Growth not condemning. OBJ was also criticized in his time too. Think better way to approach this issue as a learned Nigerian. I will appreciate, if you could stand as Ken Saro Wiwa not to run abroad when the chips are down. Make sure you return you family back to Nigeria not dumping them abroad and here instigating us to anger.

    Did You Vote?
    Whom did you vote for?
Can you show us your Voter’s Card and prove that you voted?
If the answers are NO. You are our first problem. If yes,
Then, go to the Lab for research like others in the “Ancient Tiger” did.

If your ideas are well channeled, Nigeria will change over night.

    • Jvs4real

My dear, u have said it all, nothing more to say. People just come up with useless articles to stir up anger in the youth when they know they don’t have a face in the government anymore. They take their family abroad and come back to to cause chaos. God will destroy all of them one by one. When OBJ was there they also criticized him but now he is being praised to bring GEJ down. Useless and jobless ppl like FFK, God will sort out very soon.

  • Sadeeqenuwa

I suggest your former Boss OBJ that paved way for him to become the president is in a better position to vow and make it a DO OR DIE to save Nigerians

  • Bankole Adebambo

Femi Fani-Kayode should keep shut.Obasanjo, you ,IBB etc are no saints! God will surely deliver the people of Nigeria from you.

  • DODO

Rubbish. The tax payers money of the Nigerian people that was intrusted into your hands when you were minister of aviation where is it? You think God is not watching. Now you are singing Obj’s praise but few months ago you critized him .Hypocrite GEJ is removing you people’s source of milking this country ,that is why you are making a statement to incite the youth to sacrifice their lives for your selfish interest .Your Pay-Back -period is near.

  • Obinna

Chief Femi-Fani Kayode, I send you forth to take the bull by the horns. Truly enough is enough. I didn’t cast my vote for him. The best thing is to call Aunty Ngozi to resign and go back to World Bank, where the scam and job is legal.

Nija people,Next time when una hear uncle jonah all of una must Ebele!all my fellow musicians wey join for d campaign and all d jingles,I beg una fit tell us why dis dude dey do d opposite of what u guys sang about?Pls go back to the studio each of u gat an assingment!Lace a meaningful track now!

  • Taiye

Abeg, Fani Kayode’s message is correct. Goodluck has become Badluck.

    • Mozwaify

      to you alone

      • Pjo

I think the fuel subsidy is good for Nigeria, the money can be invested in infrastructure.

  • Iriorun

As one whose footprints left sizeable tracks in the power one of Nigeria can you tell us how real fuel subsidy is and what/who caused it? Why did government in your time fail to address it. Like it or not Jonathan is the creation of a system you powered. Be courageous enough to admit letting Frankenstein of some sort loose on us.

    • Yusufanyogo

      Don’t mind that big thief.

  • Ebonfedan

Well Under 4 years a lot can happen, there is bound to be an increase or decrease in prices, and C’mon Fani how can you ever compare a general with a civilian, We all know there will be a huge difference, agreed yes he should have acted a little bit faster when it came to this Boko haram issue it would have saved a lot of innocent lives but a civilian would always want to dialogue for peace not necessarily action with action (guns and sending of the buffalo soldiers like your father Obasanjo the general did to destroy a whole community), that is why i think he was taking his time and in the case of this people they are invisible, faceless no one to dialogue with, leaving him no alternative action than to do what he just did recently ( the State of emergency and so on). Coming back to the issue of the fuel subsidy, lets be honest who has been gaining from the payment of this subsidy the few cartels who are into the oil business or the Nigerian Masses, 1.3 trillion or even 300billion is a lot of money that can be used to change a lot of things in this country, and who has been enjoying the benefits of these huge sum of course the Cartels or as they are called the cabals..lol. And in earnest I believe they have also been short changing the masses in the process. GEJ noticing this in his wisdom removed the payment of such sums so as to use that money to repair our old school, unkempt refineries (that your father Obasanjo forgot to maintain,) and also give the masses better healthcare and build more infrastructures which will lead to the creation of jobs. Now once the refineries are fixed and there won’t be importation of fuel anymore and other things like petroleum jelly etc, naturally the price of petrol would come down, and private companies will be able to buy fuel from the government and even sell at their own price which will bring about the privatization of the oil industry(local companies will be competing with each other). Also other produces from crude like the jelly, some individual can start up his own beauty cream company( Creation of jobs), using the jelly etc. If you can remember how Nitel and MTN those days had the monopoly in the telecommunication industry then the government  (Obasnjo your father the only good thing everyone says he did) destroyed their monopoly through privatization, then came glo, celcom and the rest, then it became competitive and more affordable for everyone. There are a lot of people employed in that industry today and due to the competition as better services are rendered to the masses in that sector. This is what I believe GEJ is trying to do. Yes the masses will suffer but just for a while so that they can enjoy in earnest later, they won’t mind because if there’s anything Nigerians as a whole can boast of is that we are survivors and if it means surviving this to enjoy the benefits later than to be managing now and suffering later they would choose the former. And to be clear on who the masses are, i am referring to the common man, and lets be clear on who the common man is, the real common man treks, goes to the farm, rides a bicycle uses brt or damfos, irons his clothes when there is light and burns the candle when there isn’t etc, a common man desires security, good infrastructures and jobs not fuel subsidy, because he doesn’t have a car, power generating set or a motor bike, so if you have a car or a motor bike or even a gen, these are luxuries to a common man, and if you can afford them you damn well should be able to afford running them. Fani i am beginning to suspect that you even have an oil company or shares somewhere in one of those companies your piece is just POLITICAL and seriously Fani when will you ever stop being Obasanjo’s BOY?

    • Ebonfedan

yes one more thing We should rally around our President, encourage him, support his economic reforms, but most importantly we should demand accountability, building of infrastructures, better life and reduction of poverty, instead of calling him names like you did Fani such as King Rehoabam and so on, a man of your virtue should know better, i am totally dissapointed. Well i sign out now
      Ebonfedan

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CW3Z5VCQ2YW623GDJLU7YXWAGY Big rain Dondada

Mr Ebonfedan, Please do not comment or speak again as it is glaring you’ve got nothing to say on this issue as you are not in touch with the realities of the country. Have you thought about the ripple effect of removing fuel subsidy on an economy which is highly dependent on such commodity.I would give you a little hint to think about in very lay mans term so you know what to say the next time you put fingers to the keyboard or even open your mouth to speak about this issue.
The minimum salary of the vast majority of Nigerians who are educated is in the range of 50,000 to 80,000 per month, Average spending on feeding alone for a family of 6 runs into atleast N25,000 per month, Transportation cost daily to work runs into N10,000 a month at 65/litre FUEL PRICE!!!, phone bills, rent school fees, other miscellaneous spending, do the maths on whats left to be saved in that money (Mind you, I’ve been very minimal on my assumptions of these expenditures). Do you even observe the economy during fuel scarcities for just a period of one week,

If the President is talking about saving trillions of naira from fuel subsidy, do the right thing which is the provision of Stable electricity and power, then a boost occurs in the economy, lives are improved, then you can talk about removal of subsidy which can then have a bearable effect on the citizens of this great nation.

The so called president has just cut off the thread line which his people were hanging on without provision for a soft landing..

What amazes me the most is that you would say a common man should not be able to afford a car…I feel really sad for you sir if you can call a car a luxury item, A car is basically an item for transportation. The only time you can call a car luxury is when you choose to buy a Luxurious kind of car and which such cars carry the name Luxury cars.

Please sit down and analyse your comment above as it makes no sense at all.

        • Anonymous

Mr. Big rain Donadada…I am also disappointed at u for attempting to say that owning a car is not a luxury in Nigeria! In what planet are u living ur illusion of Nigeria? How many of ur entire community indigenes own cars and how many don’t. That BTW is irrelevant. FYI Nigerians have been surviving from one hardship to the other since independence and all these hardships are due to public and systemic corruptions that people like you and Fani Kayode will not want to see curbed so as not to destroy ur sources of illicit incomes! The removal of fuel subsidies will obviously hurt the poor masses, but it will hurt the currupt and greedy few the most!  I will advice you to heed to such a patriotic counsel as suggested by Ebofedan to channel these energies of wasteful criticisms at JEG towards fighting corruption! That is the fight every well meaning Nigerian must be ready to fight if we truelly mean well for the poor in our midst!

          • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CW3Z5VCQ2YW623GDJLU7YXWAGY Big rain Dondada

Mr rnjaka, so removal of fuel subsidy is the solution to the sufferings we have been faced with in this nation. I really would like to tell me how fuel subsidy would minimise corruption, alleviate poverty, and provide us with a sustainable economy at this present stage we find our country???.
In my opinion, you don’t solve a problem by creating another one which is exactly what GEJ has done

          • Jvs4real

u are short sited, that is y u dont know how removal of subsidy will alleviate subsidy. u complain of bills and all wat not; try and get out of the shores of nigeria to other countries and know wat payment of bills is all about. the same u in nigeria complaining of bills i am very sure u dont pay NEPA bills but u want electricity. those other coun tries u envy do u know how much they pay for electricity bills? nigerians are so quick to judge their leaders forgetting their own part of the game. u dont pay tax but u complain. tell us wen last u paid NEPA bill.  get a life pls and stop making noise

          • Oluomo

Am sure you and Ebofedan have head without brain, am sure you guys don’t listen to debate and people analysis, alternate solution to eradicate the cabals without you and I suffering from GEJ, Madueke and Okonje plot to suffer Nigerians. ask yourself what is subsidy, whay can’t GEJ deal with the cabals, why can’t GEJ revampe or build new refineries on concession if we don’t have money, why can’t GEJ cut down on their unnecessary spending afer all he is there to service us and not infringe suffer on us

          • Jvs4real

Oluomo, u are the very one suffering from brain injury and u need urgent attention. U guys just get online and type rubbish bcos u have access to the internet. Can u tell the whole nigeria the unnecessary spending u are talking about? jobless pple. pple like u without home training and who lack morals are the ones calling our president names. amend ur ways fast before its too late

        • Jvs4real

Mr big rain, it is even ur comments that makes no sense and not that of Ebonfedan.

I think u should declare your real name and not the alias u chose to be known. How many years ago do u think Nigerians have been suffering ? how many years have Nigerians been promised heaven and earth ? why must it be the masses that should be at the receiving ends? why cant the federal government cut down other spending in order to raise our refineries? what happened to the drama saga of the huge amount of money spent on power generation? i stand to be corrected that many of these so called government officials do not pay tax and every single bit of their expenses is borne by the common man’s tax (ironically whose vote brought them to power) I think we should call a spade a spade and stop playing unnecessary politics. Nigerians are far well informed now!

Mr Ebonfedan,my mind tells me that you are either not living in nigeria or you are one of those serving in the present government.Government all over the globe are championing policies and programs that suits the very people they govern.Except for what you are out to score between you and femi fani kayode, calling him one’s son or somebody’s father, how can you justify these trauma, wickedness and dumpness visited on citizens of nigeria by removing oil subsidy this time when the country is strugling to contain grievances put foward by total security system failure. You should have gain kudos by advising your employers to tackle insecurity and find solution to serious coruption taking place in the subsidy question. The only understanding of Nigerians as per as the issue of fuel subsidy is that, government is telling Nigerians that those cabals or the oil catels are above the possibility of being stoped by government of their illicit lootings and that the 160 million nigerians should just suffer in their land with their resources. We know who you are and stop getting diappointed with femi becouse he said what is right and desireable.

its quite unfortunate, you want us to rally against president that is irresponsible, weakling and cannot deal with few group of people killing this country, who are the cabals if not your president and his allies, they don’t pay for fuel, don’t pay tax, spend billion on his personal issue and you still suggest Nigerians should suffer for his weakling as a president. there are has been various suggestion to go about the issue and the president refuse to listen to alternate solution, we have license given out for refineries and your stupid GEJ was saying we can force people to build refineries then revoke and give it to people that are ready to do business, or build it on concession. NNPC MD said only 10 out of 100 has requirement to bring in fuel cos 10 only has fuel farm, what is your GEJ doing about the remaining 90, they talk about fuel diversion, who is  responsible for security,if he need Nigerian trust, he must ready to deal with the cabal first, put policy that monitor who brings what oil, sell it here and revamp the old refineries. after all we are blessed with oil, let used our crude oil as exchange, countries are using gold for transaction, so if government can’t build it now, let them do concessionaire project for x no of years.Removal of subsidy is ok IF THERE IS SOFT LANDING FOR NAIJA CITIZEN, WE CAN’T SUFFER FOR GEJ WEAKLING AND IRRESPONSIBILITY.

@bdbab30ad2d48f534f1049f3896ae0fa:disqus Forget this Obasanjo’s toothless boy. he wants to send people to the war front so that he will run like Late Ojukwu.
I keep wondering where is the boldness of GEJ is coming from at this moment? Alot damage has being done. If this is the fresh air he promised, i dont want to breath it at all.
